Conducted three day theatre workshop with 140 engineering students to sensitize and bring social awareness through various theatre exercises, devices and improvisations. The workshop was part of a foundation course of IITG.

Theatre project with people with disabilities

2012-2013

In association with Blind People’s Association and filmmaker Ashish Kakkad, theatre training was been given to 25 differently abled women from 11 districts of Gujarat, developing the play

‘Thokarpur’.  As a part of the project, these 25 women developed the same play in their respective regions and they performed 320 shows of the play in 10 days in 11 districts from 4th Jan to 13th Jan 2012. 

Workshop With Disabled Womem

Theatre workshop with 15 disabled women; developed the play ‘Kido Salval’ on the issue of sexual exploitation of disabled women. The play was performed in the presence

of Honorable Governor of Gujarat her excellence Smt. Kamladevi and also at venues in urban and rural Gujarat to create an awareness about sexual exploitation of disabled women.

A theatre workshop with tribals of Chhota Udaipur district of Gujarat, producing the play ‘Ulgulan’.

Three theatre workshops (2005, 2006 and 2007) with school girls; developed Gujarat’s first girls’ theatre group and developed the plays ‘Desh Ka namak’, ‘Chhoti si Asha’ and ‘Hamare Sapne’

SEWA Self Employ Women Association

Conducted theatre workshop with women vendors and riots affected widows to bring out their social and economic issues. Produced two plays, ‘Hamari Zindagi’ (Our Life) and ‘Jeet’ (Victory).  

DA-IICT (Khoj Theatre Group)

2003-2004

Conducted a number of theatre workshops and developed ‘Khoj’ (In search) Theatre Group at

Dhirubhai Ambani Institute of Information and Communication Technology (DA-IICT).  Conducted numerous theatre workshops in schools and colleges of my town and tried to develop theatre in the various strata of society.
